Summary:
Lotus has recently created a new economic car made from weeds. Nowadays, it is very important to think about green energy.
This Lotus is made from non-traditional materials as wool and hemp. A big part of useful energy is provided by solar panels situated on the roof of the car. And the paint used is cheaper and more environment friendly than the ordinary one.
Moreover, a lot of materials come from local suppliers. So, there are no costs for the transport of the materials. And the amount of CO2 produced during the transport is reduced.
Lotus has already made another environment friendly car before: an electric sport car, the Tesla Roadster. Even if it is a “green” car, it gives a top speed of 200 km/h and it is very popular in America.
These cars prove us that progresses can easily be done to reduce CO2 emissions. Lotus also wants to reduce its energy consumption by searching alternative fuels, and by using wind turbines to produce electricity to power all their industry.
Comments:
I think that we all should start to drive “green” cars in the future. This Lotus is a good example of car witch combines power with environment–friendly materials.
There are a lot of economic cars nowadays, like the well-known Toyota Prius and Honda Insight. And from a green point of view, a green car is a great deal. Because it saves you considerable money
The only disadvantage of this kind of cars is that the cost is higher compared to conventional sportive cars. But, the hybrid car can counter this disadvantage by allowing consumers to save money in a long term basis.
Moreover, this car has high performances like other sportive cars. Buy with less emissions of CO2 than other sportive cars.
But there are still a lot of things to do to be more environment-friendly

Summary:
Nintendo Wii is a computer game which is different from other. Indeed it can be a solution to struggle with obesity problems.
Obesity is a real problem nowadays. There are more and more children who are obese, and particularly among boys.
Video games are an important factor of obesity in the young. Instead of removing video games from their life’s, researchers suggest that they can be used to feel better.
Researchers found that a lot of calories could be burnt during an active playing. For example, if you play 60 minutes everyday, you will burn four kg of body fat a year.
A survey showed that the heart rate was rising when children were playing, so they were doing a kind of exercise. The most important advantage is that they could do the minimum recommended amount of exercise at home.
But the real target is to encourage children to do sport regularly. Researchers think that video games could help them to have a daily physical activity.
Comments:
I think that obesity is a real problem nowadays, and of course, we must tackle it. But buying a Wii is a ridiculous idea, because it would encourage children to stay home and play on it. A physical activity based on console systems is not the only option left.
Moreover, burning only four kg a year for exercising 60 minutes a day, that is a lot of effort for little reward.
Children should do some sport, like basketball or football, or simply go swimming and running few times a week. It is certainly better than staying at home and playing on computer games.
Parents are also responsible about their children overweight; I think that they must be educated on the basics of diet. If they consume fewer calories, they will loose weight. Because the calories burnt by exercising will be easily replaced the next time the child eats a bar of chocolate.
To conclude, the Wii is not the miracle cure to the problem of obesity.
