2.5 Denial of registration of domain names
Registration of a domain name may be denied by SWITCH if: the domain name contains characters other than the following: a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, i, j, k, l, m, n, o, p, q, r, s, t, u, v, w, x, y, z
(capital letters are displayed as corresponding lower case letters); 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9; hyphens, but not as the first, or as the third combined with the fourth or as the last character (e.g. "-hallo.ch", "ha--llo.ch", "hallo-.ch" ); the domain name contains fewer than 3 or more than 24 characters, subject to statutory exceptions or exceptions approved by the Office of Communications;
