Ouïe  la galère::::
J'ai osé changer le nom de ma machine depuis l'utilitaire mdk servant à la connection internet.  
Samba s'est planté net
J'ai donc rebooter la machine et là:
 
openoffice m'a affiché un message récurent comme quoi plusieurs utilisateurs essayaient d'ouvrir les mêmes fichiers. Si on répond "non" il ressert le message. Donc la réponse est "oui".
 
Samba ne fonctionne toujours pas.
Le drakconf me permet d'aller jusqu'à repérer les nouveaux serveurs mais pas moyen d'en faire plus.
 
Je vais essayer de réparer à la main mais je signale juste le problème ici....

Quel est le nom que tu as mis ?
Quels sont les logs de samba ?

J'ai mis un 'tr.maison.fr" au lieu de "tr" initialement: rien de spécial

as tu essayé en supprimant les points ? peut être que ce caractère est interdit dans le nom.
D'après tes logs, samba a bien démarré
essaye : smbclient -L 127.0.0.1 (si le guest est activé)

Il trouve toujours TR, donc a priori il faudrait mettre les mains dans le cambouis.
Ou peut-être avec webmin......

SAMBA émule un serveur NT4 et non un serveur Active Directory ( 2k, 2k3 ). Donc un nom de domaine sous SAMBA ne comporte pas de point et est un nom du type : MONDOMAINE. On appelle cela un nom NETBIOS

Active Directory s'appuie sur DNS et donc peut avoir un nom de domaine du type : MONDOMAINE.FR
 
Donc modifie ton fichier smb.conf et modifie la ligne workgroup afin qu'elle devienne :

Ben....... Le fichier smb.conf contient workgroup = MDKGROUP
Normalement c'est tout bon.  le groupe MAISON.FR vient du pc windows et il n'a pas changer depuis des annees. J'ai donc mis MAISON mais le changement est venu par mon PC linux !!

En fait je retrouve mes dossiers sur le PC windows 98 mais un probleme demeure. Je crée un nouveau fil pour cela. Merci Dark
