Bonjour,
 
hier j'ai eu droit à une coupure de courant. Qd j'ai rallumé mon tit Linux (RH 7.2), ben il a pu marché comme avant, et notament le Xfree.
 
Alors, aurais je perdu un fichier Font ? dois je réinstaller XFree ? Ne connaissant aucunement la structure des fichiers X free, je prie pour qu'une âme bienfaitrice ou même une fée bleue me sorte de ce pétrin.

effectivement XFS n'était pas lancé
je suppose qu'il faut que je le rajoute dans les services de démarrage. J'me souviens avoir trifouiller la dedans ya deux ou trois semaines (vu que j'étais jamais...sauf qd EDF me l'impose).

je rebondis sur ce post car un leger vent de panique souffle sur mon bureau.
 
j'etais en train de lire des brols quand tout a coup je me rends compte que je n'ai plus de caracteres accentues mais des { } @ ... comme si la touche ALT restait enfoncee...
 
sylpheed ne me permet plus de lire mes mails QUE en mode source... donc bonjour le c^ot{ pratique !
 
et merde les accents.
 
je reboote car je ne comprends rien apres qques manips. je fais un setup (redhat7.1) je repasse en clavier Latin au cas ou... OK.
 
mais plus de X avec le meme message que evo_bvd.
 
si je lance xfs @ la manno sur un terminal (en root) et sur un autre un startx sous mon user habituel /a marche (comme maintenant :sarcastic: c/d pas d'accents corrects et Sylpheed dans les choux.)
 
donc ma question: comment puis-je expliquer @ cette b^ete boite m{tallique comment lancer xfs comme avant (car aucune manip systeme @ part avoir installe abiword en root hier dans la journee) et surtout, mais je suppose que ca en d{coule..., comment recuperer ces accents nom di djou !!!
 
(encore sorry pour les accentues... c'est p^o facile)

dernier point, insufler un peu de vie à Sylpheed qui m'a l'air bien en point...

en root, je ne peux lancer xfs que sans arguments. j'ai essayé avec -droppriv ... -user ... que dalle.
 
ça sent le sapin. je sens qu'il va falloir que je vienne au bureau avec les CD de ma RedHat...

J'utilise jamais xfs, et ça se passe très bien. L'intérêt de xfs est pour limiter l'espace disque sur une petite machine qui peut servir de TX (ça bouffe de la place, les polices), sinon, je vois pas bien.
Ah, si, peut-être, pour utiliser les polices TrueType de Windows, avec xfstt. Mais bon, j'ai pas Windows sous la main non plus.
