je comprends pas avant j'avais une CG GF2 32mo avec un moniteur 17 lambda
 
maintenant que j'ai une CG GF4 TI 4800 128ddr (winfast A280td) et un 19 pce LCD CORNEA(dit compatible linux)le tout avec 1GO de ram piloté par un XP1800
je n'arrive plus a installer linux
 
j'ai essayer knoopix 3.1 pas moyen ecran noir dés le debut sauf en live avec le cdrom ça marche
 
avec MDK 9.1 j'ai l'accueil puis quand je fait entrer pour installer ecran noir et j'ai 2 diodes de mon clavier qui clignotent(Capslock et SrcollLock)
 
comment pourrais-je contourner le pb?
 
j'ai essayer avec un disquette c'est pareil
 
j'ai mis aussi le convertisseur VGA/DVI pour voir pareil

If you have the vesa framebuffer problem:
when you are booting from your disk made above, and get to the first install screen (were you have the option to press F1...) do this:  
1. Press F1
2. type: linux video=vesa:vram:32 (and press enter)
(the numer 32 means that you want to allocate 32MB for the framebuffer, and you can choose any size you want, specified in MB. A generic rule is to allocate the same amount as your graphic card has RAM, but it's your choice)
3. the installer continues, install as normal
 
j'ai fais ça mais meme pb  

on peut installer avec 512Mo puis seulement mettre les 512Mo supplémentaires ?

c'est bon j'ai reglé le pb avec
"linux vga=0"
