First hand, there is DEFINITELY support for 6 IDE/SATA devices, so the person on another board who reported 4 total devices on IC7 obviously needed to read the manual I have just connected 4 IDE devices and 2 SATA as a RAID with i2S serial ATA to IDE converters. The confusion was apparently with the setup of the on-chip SATA controller. You must select 'manual', then assign the drives as Master 3, and Master4 for them to be bootable. You then enable SATA RAID, and set it up in boot bios just like other boards. There ARE options which apparently allow you to map SATA to IDE ports.
