In April, 1992, Lisa performed at the biggest concert of the decade, The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert for AIDS Awareness at Wembley Stadium. With an estimated live audience of almost one billion TV viewers, she performed "I Want To Break Free" in Coronation Street style complete with Hoover and curlers. She also performed the tear-jerking "These Are The Days Of Our Lives" with George Michael, which was later released on the "5-live EP", which reached Number 1 in almost every country in the World!
Lisa found time in between touring to record her next album, the more mellow "So Natural" which spawned the hit singles, "So Natural" and "In All The Right Places".
After a well-earned break, Lisa returned in 1997 with the self-titled. "Lisa Stansfield" album which spawned the briliant "The Real Thing" single.
Taking her first step into acting, lisa starred in the film 'Swing', convincingly playing a Scouse jazz singer. She also recorded the brilliant soundtrack for the film, proving that no musical style is out of her reach. She also found time to team up with Barry White again for his hit "Staying Power" album.
With Lisa currently working on new material for her next solo album, there is great anticipation. Whether it be swing, dance, R&B, jazz or stadium rock - Lisa is sure to score another hit, and if not - there's always a brilliant acting career to fall back on. Who knows? One day, she may just land that part in Coronation Street that she has always wanted!
