    Richard Creena passes away...

Hey folks, Harry here... Well, Richard Crenna has passed away... Of all of his films, my favorite has always been WAIT UNTIL DARK - which is just unsettling and creepy work - of course, for most he was known as John Rambo's "controller" the guy that always warned everybody else... "Don't mess with Rambo, He's a Killing Machine!" Here's Uncapie and AB King with their write ups regarding Crenna...

Richard Crenna, star of stage and screen, passed away Friday of pancreatic cancer at the age of 76. Mr. Crenna first appeared in Irene Dunne's last film, "It Grows On Trees" where he gained noted recognition moving on to "The Sand Pebbles" with Steve Mc Queen, the outrageous, seldom seen comedy "John Goldfarb Please Come Home" opposite Shirley MacLaine and Peter Ustinov, "Red Sky At Morning", a great coming-of-age story and the suspense filled, "Wait Until Dark."

A regular on "The Real McCoys" from 1957-1963, Mr. Crenna was an incredibly gifted character actor that displayed a wide range of talent portraying leading men, quirky characters and bad guys. As John Rambo's mentor and superior officer "Colonel Trautman" in the Rambo series, he commanded attention with his presence on the screen and introduced a new generation of young people to his acting abilities.

Rest well, Mr. Crenna and thank you for your work.

     Uncapie

And if Uncapie's elegance isn't enough - here's the concerns of a fan that believes that Crenna's passing should be worked into the RAMBO IV film which was rumored about in the UK's THE SUN! Here ya go...

     ABking here,

A very sad day indeed! Richard Crenna best known for the RAMBO series has passed away. Just as Rambo IV is gearing up to be made. Now the 4th installment can only be dedicated to the colonel. He was one of the things that made the series what it is today.

This is what a fan thinks should now happen with Rambo IV:

I think the death of Crenna "Trautman"could be a turning point for Rambo. I think it should be involved in the movie. Trautman is Rambo's only "family" Without him Rambo is alone. If sly wants to stick with the terrorism theme then maybe Rambo 4 could involve something like the Pentagon being hit or another Gov. Building. and Trautman being killed. Because Trautman would not be fighting at his age. So a building is the only logical death for Trautman. Then showing Rambo at the funeral all upet about Trautmans death and pissed off at the recent terroristic events and feeling like he has to do something about it. (Because He's Rambo and He Can) He over hears other military men at the funeral talking about how they can't do anything and no one can get close enough etc.... And Rambo, "Freelance-Vigilante Style" goes in on his own and gets his own revenge. Bringing forth the Leader of the Terrorism group "maybe a "model" of the Bin Laden Type but not BIN LADEN no no" and bri! ngs him back alive to a U.S. military base or somewhere (maybe same place the guys at the funeral work because they say it can't be done and when Rambo shows up with him they look with amazement)and Rambo comes full circle finally with this movie. This will have examples from all the movies and I think its a proper finish because it involves One last battle for a himself (First Blood) His Country (Rambo: First Blood Part II) and his friend (Rambo 3) making it (Rambo 4)And finally walk off into the sunset a hero...a legend....A Retired and Peaceful Rambo. Full Circle. That's how I feel.
