Ben le UDP, c'est protocole de transmisson en mode non-connecté alors que le TCP est en mode connecté. C'est écrit là:
Citation :
UDP and TCP are network protocols. A protocol is a known format for transmitting data between two hosts. It determines such things as the type of error checking, the data compression method, how the sending device indicates that it has finished sending a message, and how the receiving device indicates that it has received a message.
Both UDP (User Datagram Protocol) and TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) are transport layer protocols that run over IP networks. UDP is a connectionless protocol. This means it does not perform retransmission of data and therefore provides very few error recovery services. UDP instead offers a direct way to send and receive datagrams (packets) over the network; it is used primarily for broadcasting messages.
TCP, on the other hand, provides a connection-based, reliable data stream. (Whereas the IP protocol deals only with packets, TCP enables two hosts to establish a connection and exchange streams
of data.) TCP guarantees delivery of data and also guarantees that packets will be delivered in the same order in which they were sent.
