Voilà :
CD-RW Media The drive is able to write to CD-RW media at 2x, 4x, 8x and 10x. If you are using 10x rated CD-RW media and try to select 10x, you will find that it is not an option !! Only 2x, 4x and 8x can be selected for CD-RW media. More on CD-RW Media to follow in this review.

Un autre ou ils disent la même chose :
Yamaha claims the CRW2100EZ is able to record at 16X. This is only partly true. The drive starts recording CDs at 12X and doesn't kick into 16X mode till about 15 minute into the disk. After that, it's 16X all the way to the end. Yamaha also says the CRW2100EZ can do rewrites at 10X but, again, this too is misleading. The drive burns CD-RWs at 4X to 8X until it hits the outer edges of the disk, then it switches to 10X.

Un dernier, mais il y en a d'autres :
The Yamaha advertises up to 10x rewrite. Unfortunately they don't mention that this is only the case when you are using fixed packet writing. And then its writing in 4x - 10x CAV. The drive could start writing at 4x and only hit 10x at the end of the CD.
