Bonjour,
1er stage: "Eclipse metamodels migration"
Within the Simulation department, Astrium is currently developing a set of applications using MDA (Model Driven Architecture) technologies based on Eclipse. A recurring problem associated with MDA applications is the metamodel migration, following one or more changes applied to the metamodel. The purpose of this internship will be to automate the model to model migration for a tool where the data model evolutions are regular.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Studying the problem,
- Studying the existing (but not integrated) generic migration prototype,
- Realizing a concrete work allowing to automate the migration process as efficient as possible.
Skills:
- Object-oriented techniques,
- Java,
- Eclipse and its technologies would be appreciated
2ème stage: "Integration of a mathematical language in Eclipse"
Within the Simulation department, Astrium has developed an integrated development environment dedicated to simulation. It allows graphical modelling, code and documentation generation and also permits to build and test simulation models. This environment is fully integrated in Eclipse and leverages state-of-the-art model-driven technologies of Eclipse like EMF, GMF and XText.
However, users currently have to code the models functional logic in C++. Instead, it would be beneficial for the users to have at their disposal a higher level, mathematical oriented language. The Modelica language has been selected for this purpose and a prototype has proven the feasibility of its integration. The goal of the internship is to improve and complete the previous work, notably in terms of performance of the generated code, in order to achieve a seamless and production ready integration into the simulation development environment.
Skills:
- Mathematical languages, differential equations
- Object-oriented techniques, Java and C++
- Knowledge of Modelica would be appreciated
