Oil prices have risen because of the political situation in the Middle East between Wednesday and Friday. Oil prices rose on Friday because of strained relations between Turkey and Iraq, particularly between Kurdish rebels and the two governements. Turkey’s governement has decided to attack them. The situation is very tense and everybody throughout the world is afraid of it / (what may follow).
According to one of their members, the OPEC wants to shield itself from an excessive rise in oil prices. OPEC chiefs will meet in November in order to work out a solution. For the moment, anybody can express themselves about the OPEC’s plans.
Today, oil is over four times more expensive than it was in 2002. Countries such as India or China have more and more oil needs because of their risingeconomies. Oil prices will soon break their 1980 record when they rose to over $90! (nb si je ne m'abuse, on est passé au dessus de 98$ la semaine derniere). In september, OPEC said it would increase oil production to answer needs.
I have chosen this article because today, the price of oil is a big problem.
All cars needs oil and it is too expensive for individuals, but notonly : all our economy is based on it. Oil is at the core of astressed political and environmental situation. Perhaps it is time to work out a solution and find new energy sources that are lessexpensive ?

il date de quand ton article? j'ai collé aux temps utilisés, mais parfois ça donne des trucs un peu incohérents.. (cf prix du brut à 90).
(tu as un lien vers l'article?)
désolé si le remaniement est parfois excessif, c'est pas évident de corriger sans reformuler, des changements de temps ou de structure induisant souvent d'autres changements dans la phrase..
